/ ABOUT THINKHOUSE

“Some people don’t just live: they lead a life. They don’t sit around waiting for a lucky break. They create opportunities for themselves. They go after their dreams and bring them to life…”

- Christopher Gergen in Life Entrepreneurs: Ordinary People Creating Extraordinary Lives

This is your time.  Make it count.  To get you there, the ThinkHouse is a nine-month action-learning residential Accelerator in Raleigh, NC based out of a fully renovated house in the Boylan Heights neighborhood.   The ThinkHouse is focused on helping emerging entrepreneurs (you!) put bold ideas into action while creating impactful lives.

Designed by entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs, the ThinkHouse offers an extraordinary experience for participating Fellows, including:

  • Build a venture from promising idea to a scalable platform with growing revenue;
  • Develop a strong community of fellow entrepreneurs and a robust network of mentors;
  • Create a comprehensive entrepreneurial life plan with accountability partners; and
  • Cultivate connections with the media, investors, and potential business development partners.

OUR MISSION:  to provide recent graduates with the environment, network, resources, and skills required to build profitable and scalable companies.

Program
About the ThinkHouse Fellowship

The intensive nine-month experience focuses on equipping you with the confidence, competence, knowledge and networks necessary to lead an extraordinary life, build healthy teams, and launch a successful venture.  In addition to a strong emphasis on personal leadership development, and team building, the ThinkHouse Venture Accelerator is a hands-on boot camp to help you develop a viable product/service and get to revenue quickly.  Specifically, through our three-part, mentor-fueled process you will: validate market demand and rapidly prototype new concepts; get to market with established benchmarks and feedback loops; and develop a scalable platform with recurring revenue.

The ThinkHouse, located in historic Boylan Heights, is a residential entrepreneurial development opportunity for seven Fellows chosen through a competitive selection process.  While the ThinkHouse will serve as the soulful center of the experience, all Fellows can also work out of HQ Raleigh - a dynamic entrepreneurial co-working space within easy biking distance to the ThinkHouse.  Fellows must call the Triangle their primary home for the duration of the fellowship and must be working full-time on their ventures.

ThinkHouse Fellows are expected to:
    • Participate in all fellowship activities including a leadership retreat, weekly dinners, monthly peer leadership group meetings, and sponsored events;
    • Be an ambassador for the ThinkHouse in the Triangle including identifying and hosting one innovator within their field at a ThinkHouse event as well as recruiting the next class of Fellows;
    • Contribute to blogs, press interviews, newsletters, and social media outreach to increase visibility of the region’s emergent entrepreneurial community;
    • Maintain a weekly video/written journal of your experience;
    • Volunteer with and participate in HQ Raleigh and Bull City Forward community events and initiatives; and
    • Present on your progress throughout the fellowship for critical feedback including a final presentation to share both personal and professional growth to the larger community.
